Destination weddings are a great opportunity to get away from the cold winter in Canada. And that is what Kelly and Bryce thought too when they planned their wedding destination. Jamaica is one of those destinations and who doesn’t like to be invited to a Jamaican wedding?

Bryce and Kelly’s wedding took place at the Gran Bahia Principe hotel in Runaway Bay, Jamaica.

A great photo of a beautiful bride who looks out over the sea.

Once again I was lucky to have the opportunity for a sunset kiss. The last sunset kiss I photographed was in sub-zero temperatures, this one was tropical.

The flag is visual proof of Kelly and Bryce’s wedding taking place in Jamaica.

The day after the wedding and it was time for the traditional ‘trash the dress’. We went to the beach to take some additional pictures, such as the groom carrying the bride in the water and this one where Kelly and Bryce strolled through the surf.

One last message from Kelly: “Just married”

Your pictures are gorgeous! My boyfriend and I are getting married at Grand Negril Resort and Spa on May28th. My dress is quite similar to the one you had. Can you give any tips or advice before we go?
Much appreciated!
Paula
Hi Paula, thank you for your compliment. Regarding advice, please check with your hotel regarding their photography policy. You may be required to use their house photographer instead of bringing your own. And also talk to the bridal party not to get sun burned before the wedding, it just doesn’t look good in the pictures. Especially those raccoon-eyed sunburns. Good luck with your wedding!
Hi,
I’m from Red Deer, AB and I’m looking into this resort for my wedding in February 2011. I have read some reviews that the resort photographer isn’t great and I’m wondering if you could give me some information on how it works to bring a wedding photographer along for the trip? What costs would we be responsible for?
Thanks,
Ashley
Hi Ashley, this resort does not have a policy against bringing your own photographer. If you want to bring a photographer along, you would just have to make arrangements with that photographer. The cost for the photographer is based on his/her regular fee plus travel and accommodation expenses. You can ask photographers for a quote. Some photographers don’t travel, but I certainly enjoy it.
